Djinn, the Stalkers, are the second Band of demons. They oppose Cherubim.
Resonance and Dissonance[]
Like Cherubim, Djinn are intensely focused on a single person, place, or thing. With Djinn, however, this takes on a bitter and cynical twist. Actually harming their attunements (physically) would run counter to their nature, and generate dissonance. It would be too direct. There is a loophole: if their attunement asks them to do something, they can do it, and are not responsible for whatever might happen along the way. ("They asked for it.") Sometimes, too, their attachment gets the better of them, and they get more of a protective instinct than they'd like to have; this is also dissonant, as starting to care jangles up their carefully-arranged indifference.
Aptitudes[]
When something needs to be watched or monitored, Djinn are often a good choice. Many Djinn are also pretty powerful in a Corporeal sense, and something about their bloody-minded obsessiveness means that many of them end up as reasonably well-trained fighters.
Celestial Appearance[]
In celestial form, Djinn (like Cherubim) resemble animals- sort of. They look more like a mix of a bunch of different animals fused together (e.g. a bear with a crocodile's tail and the front legs of a cow). The only thing uglier than them are the Shedim- a fact the Djinn never stop reminding them of.
Stereotype[]
- All Djinn are ugly, scowling creeps that give people three wishes if freed from their lamps.
